The following twelve pictures were taken on November 18, 2017, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, in the USA! The occasion was the celebration of the Beatification of Bl. Solanus Casey….a Irish American Franciscan Capuchin Priest who passed on to glory in 1957 A.D. Approximately 66,000 folks gathered to celebrate and we were there for a very special and blessed reason. Let me explain…
The young woman in the instagram pics, our daughter, Molly, was stillborn 33 years ago, on May 18, 1984. She died in my womb and it was approximately one half hour later that her heart began its beating. I hung a picture of Bl. Solanus (then Fr. Solanus) by her in the neonatal intensive care unit where she hovered between this life and the next. We thank God for the love and prayers of Fr. Solanus for Molly. Molly will tell you, if you had the chance to speak to her, what a wonderful life she has had, and she is fully aware that God gave her life back to her for His special plan for her and those around her. She was invited by the Franciscan Capuchins to be a part of the Beatification Celebration in the Procession of the Relic. If you would like to see this wonderful celebration for Bl. Solanus, the Archdiocese of Detroit has made it available for all to view on YouTube. Go to YouTube and search for the Beatification Mass Bl. Solanus Casey. Look for the video that is 3 hours, 13 minutes, and 5 seconds. Hope you can check it out and God bless you and Bl. Solanus, please, pray for you!

Bridget was given the honor, privilege, and blessing of receiving a copy of the Beatification Decree from the hand of Cardinal Angelo Amato, the Prefect of the Committee for the the Cause of Bl. Solanus’ Canonization.
