A leprechaun must find a place
To live where none can see his face.
Just now and then, not all the time,
A leprechaun who’s in life’s prime
Must hide his secrets out of sight…
A place away from too much light.
Sometimes it’s underneath a tree…
A home that would be hard to see.
Sometimes it’s underneath a stairs…
Inside a place where no one cares
To really look, or sit, or play…
And hard to notice day to day.
But sometimes, too, it can be true
That someone builds a home brand new,
For leprechauns to sleep and rest…
With hearth and table! Just the best!
I tell you this because I know
That this can certainly be so.
My Uncle Wink built Me a home,
Which keeps me safe after I roam!
I’m happy you read this today.
God bless you is what I do say! (See Footnote #9)
To Finney my dear friend from Jane,
I am so happy to hear from you!! Your home is just beautiful! You probably don’t know this, but I have seen your home and I just love it so much!! You probably were sleeping or hiding somewhere when I came. Maybe you even saw me from the distance! I imagine you have so many places to hide. It must be fun watching from your secret hiding places! I bet you are up early watching God’s beautiful creation come alive! It must be so nice to see the sunrise everyday and see the sunset! During the day I bet you love to watch the squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits and the beautiful birds! At night you must love it when all of God’s nature quiets down and you can go to your home and rest in your own bed! Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

To my Friend, Jane…from Finney!
I think it is so nice you wrote!
I love to see you wrote a note!
And yes, my days and nights are fun,
And I thank God for moon and sun…
For squirrels, chipmunks, and each star…
No matter how they’re near or far…
For bunnies, birds, all creatures, too.
And I thank God so much for you!
God bless you now for taking time,
To read and comment on my rhyme!

Why Finney you write in such a rhythmic fashion. It does make it easy to read.
Do all your kinfolk talk in such a way?

To my Friend, Poppie, from your Friend, Finney!
I’m just so glad you wrote to me!
I love your name! Sounds good…Poppie!
You asked about my kinfolk’s speech…
I’d have to say that for them, each,
they all speak well, in their own way,
But rhymin’s…? Well, I could not say
They talk that way so much, a-‘tall.
What we share most is being small!
And rhythmic fashion?…maybe so…
But some might say, I just don’t know!
So, Poppie, thank you, you’re so kind
To share a thought that’s in your mind.
God bless you now for taking time,
To read and comment on my rhyme!
