41. Lookin’ Doesn’t Mean You’re Seein’!

Hello, my Friend!  Hello today!

I hope you are in a good way!

No matter rain, no matter shine,

I always hope your day is fine!

1829

Sometimes I look, but I don’t see.

Is it the same, for you, like me?

This world that God did make for all…

For each of us…the small and tall…

Is wondrous, beautiful, and fun…

Adventure-full for everyone!

203a      1448

Each day when I wake up and see,

The sun rise up to look at me,

The daytime shows so much to sight…

Because dark’s gone and now there’s light.

I’m able to look all around,

To see the things my eyes have found.

But there are things not plain to sight…

Not even in the bright daylight!

1073      1713

I like to look, so hard, to see,

Small things not seen so easily!

1073a      1713a

The things my eyes can’t see from far…

Like gentle lines of green there are

In this small flower’s inside part…

‘Tis an instance with which to start!

295      296a

Or how about seein’ a stone?

313      313a

Or a black crow standin’ alone!

299      299a

Can you see what is on this tree?

Those pretty pine cones…can you see?

305      305aThese maple leaves…a work of art!

Just like the flower…”Bleeding Heart!”

      297a      606a

Sometimes I’ll glance…not “see” so well,

But then I SEE and want to tell,

I’m lookin’ at something so grand,

I want to tell all in the land!

1965      1965a

Not everyday a dragonfly

Is not too high up in the sky…

And close enough to really see,

Without bein’ afraid of me!

And who would know a big snowball,

Is just a bunch of flowers…small!

1269      1269a

Or that a shamrock’s flower white,

Would have amazing petals bright!

995      995a

Or even to find shamrocks where

You do not know they’re even there!

1683      1683a

And do watch for the gentle puffs

That breeze does bring with such soft “hhhufffs!”

708      708a

Sometimes the big pink catches eyes!

To look around…would be so wise…

Little daisies are hidin’ where,

The brush will show just big pink there!

1703      1700

The fuzzy brush won’t try to hide

Spider’s web, hard to see, outside!

001      001a

The grand white queen’s buds are beauties,

Must look close to see these cuties!

1532      1532a

With pink queen’s princess buds…the same…

Lovely! To not “see”…’tis a shame!

1597      1596

How about when you think you see

Just a flower…BUT THERE’S A BEE!

835a      7-23-15 1601

To watch water’s always a treat…

God’s artwork…an amazing feat!

2015072795193949      333a

Amazing, huh?!  Indeed ’tis so!

One more fun thing, I want to show…

Sometimes I watch and then I see…

Someone is lookin’ back at me!

I am so glad we talked today!

God bless you is what I do say!  (See Footnote #41)

  1. I really liked this installment. And you held your “theme” of ‘looking but not always seeing’ throughout. I think this might be one of the best Finney Adventures. And the pictures and supporting commentary were great!

    1. To my dear Friend Poppie from your dear Friend Finney!

Thank you, Poppie, thank you so much!
Isn’t that such a grand kind touch,
For you to write to me today,
And to have these nice things to say!
Isn’t it true that we don’t see
All that’s before us…you and me?
Sometimes it’s hard to focus in
      On everything that we’re seein’…
I want to try to do this, though,
Because I like to learn and know
All that I can about this life
And all about your lovely wife!
I know that she is very blessed,
and, that you, too, are very blessed! 😉
I am so glad you took the time,
To read and comment on my rhyme!
I thank you for your note today!
God bless you is what I do say!
